Ebuyer.com have kindly sent me an Electrolux upright vacuum cleaner to review, and it has arrived at exactly the right time, we are soon to have a new kitchen fitted and I don't really want to think too deeply about the mess that will be made, either before or during fitting.

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and baking and a vacuum with good suction, which will effortlessly pick up debris between the kitchen floor and the cupboard plinths is a must.

The vacuum looks really smart in silver and red, it glides easily, there is a height adjustment selector, tools are stored on the vacuum, bagless, cyclonic technology, never loses suction, replaceable Hepa filter and washable dustbin filter.  The stair hose is the only accessory that isn't stored on the vacuum.

There is a very useful stair hose accessory which increases the reach for stairs and can be used to clean curtains and blinds. All other vacuum cleaners I have used struggle to reach the top of the stairs. I can't be the only person who has split a stair hose by over stretching it.

Turbo nozzle for stairs and furniture

Supplied with the vacuum is a turbo nozzle for stairs.  It has rotating brushes which will help bring up the carpet pile as it cleans.

The extension wand, crevice tool, turbo nozzle and dusting brush are stored on the vacuum.

I have been very pleased with the overall performance, it has good suction, picks up effortlessly and it is very easy to empty the bin.  A hard floor attachment and nozzle can be purchased separately for this model.
