Saviour Snacks - Feel Good Snacking
Kitchen Delights London Reporter Reviews....
How many of us work in an office? If you are anything like me, I’ve been known to grab chocolate from the vending machine as early as 11am just for a quick energy hit.
So with this naughty streak ever present - I’ve had a fun week trying Saviour – The Feel Good Snacking Box specifically designed to help you snack better. As you can see in the picture I was sent a variety of 10 goodies such as a little Antioxidant mix (pecans, cranberry and pine kernels), a ‘Bounce’ energy ball which is high in protein, and also in the mix was a raw chocolate truffle ball with chia seeds for an energy boost.
I came back from a 50k mountain challenge in Wales last week and I have loved munching my way through all this and sharing with colleagues. The favourites were put to the vote and the Fiery Worcester Sauce & Sun-Dried Tomato popcorn was a huge hit with colleagues. What’s more, at 96 calories per pack – whose complaining?
Exclusive reader offer:
You can now claim £5 off your first snack box as part of a subscription – just quote KITCHEN when prompted. Prices start from £15 (plus £2.22 p&p) for an original 10 product snack box which is pictured and the one I enjoyed. Find out more here and let me know what you think http://www.savioursnacks.com/
Thank you to Saviour Snacks for the review samples.

Nature's Path Gluten Free Crispy Rice Bites
Nature's Path has launched 3 gluten-free and organic, non-cereal 'Crispy Rice Bites' and they are endorsed by Coeliac UK.
They come in 3 flavours - Berry Bobbly (raspberries and blueberries), Choco Knobbly (light milk chocolate) and Peanut Butter Bobbles (peanut butter with a milk chocolate drizzle). The bars are tasty 'free from' snacks, and are moist, chewy, delicious treats especially for children, but adults will enjoy them too.
The bars come in 5-pack single flavour boxes (RRP £2.49) and are available from Waitrose, Ocado and good independent health food shops.
This year Nature's Path became the official sponsor of Coeliac UK's 'Me and My Tummy' literature for the parents of recently diagnosed children.
Thank you Martin for the samples.

FUEL Chunky Breakfast Granola
FUEL is the UK's first natural energy cereal and comes in two varieties - 70% Cocoa Chunks and Fruit Loaded. It is a blend of both slow release and fast release energy to get your day off to a good start.
FUEL is aimed at time-starved people pursuing busy active lives and contains only natural ingredients, FUEL, whose brand strapline is "One Life - Live It", is rich in Vitamin B and E, high in fibre and contains guarana extract (a tropical energy booster).
Let's see what I like about this product:
First off, I have to admit I have been dipping my hand into the boxes whilst sitting at the computer they are irresistible.

Fruit Loaded Chunky Breakfast Granola - has large chunks of dried apple, peach and strawberry. A colourful and good mix of cranberries, redcurrants and blackberries also grated coconut and pumpkin seeds. It is loaded with dried fruit and is so colourful and tasty I could eat these all day. Good sized chunks of granola clusters and not too sweet, sunshine in a bowl the perfect way to start the day.
70% Cocoa Chunks Breakfast Granola - granola clusters in both chocolate and toasted oats, 70% cocoa chocolate chunks, grated coconut and pumpkin seeds. Is this the first breakfast granola with 70% cocoa chocolate chunks? I bet you will fill the bowl and then pick out all of the chocolate chunks and eat these first! There is a recipe on the side of the pack for a Power Packed Fuel Bar, I would have made this but alas, there has been too much dipping of the hand into the box and not enough left to make the recipe! The 70% cocoa is for taste, the guarana extract for energy and it is packed with vitamins for an active lifestyle.
The breakfast granola is described as the chunkiest, crunchiest most delicious baked muesli granola on earth and they certainly get my vote.
When these two granola's are tipped out from packet to dish you can immediately see a lot of research has gone into getting the product exactly right. These granola's are a feast for the eyes. For breakfast, pour over your usual milk and top with yogurt (that's how I like to eat mine) or put some into a bag for Pocket Rocket Fuel to snack on.
The aspirational packaging tells customer's to: "Throw off the shackles, sail away from the safe harbour, climb to the peak of your ambitions. Whoever you are and whatever you choose to do in life, be it jumping for joy, trekking the Amazon or chasing that business dream, you need the right FUEL to give you the boost that will get your day off to a great start."
FUEL retails at £3.69 and comes in 400g packs and has launched exclusively in 459 Tesco stores. It's launch comes at a time when sales of granola are booming in the UK with all sales up by more than 6% and Tesco seeing an increase of more than 20% year-on-year.
Thank you Lucy and FUEL.

California Almonds and Handbags
According to new research by California Almonds, handbags are the ultimate accessory for every woman and 60% of women say they simply can't live without them (my husband would also agree with this!). Handbags are the place where women keep all those daily essentials from keys to makeup, but what many of us forget to pack in our handbags is a healthy snack.
To shake up the nation's snacking habits, and help stop the 57% of women who admit to impulse snacking giving in to guilty temptations, California Almonds has teamed up with nutritionist Juliette Kello. The aim: to help women snack in style with a treat that packs a nutritional punch.
Almonds are the perfect on-the-go healthy snack and if you fill this lovely handbag size tin with 23 almonds, which is the perfect portion, you too will be able to enjoy a guilt free snack anytime of the day.
Thank you to the California Almond Board and Hannah.

TRAIL MIX
I need something healthy to snack on, because I'm still full from Christmas and New Year's Eve!
There is half a Christmas cake left to eat. In the freezer, a meringue roulade, chocolate roulade, a variety of ice creams, Nigel Slater's Raspberries and Cream Ice, salmon, smoked salmon, sausage rolls, chipolata sausages, bacon, a gammon joint and red cabbage. In the naughty cupboard, a Terry's Chocolate Orange, Cadbury Heroes, meringue nests, a box of shortbread, and this is just to name a few of the things I have yet to get through. It would be too shameful to share with you the full list of leftover goodies, but lets say, I don't think I'll need to shop for treats for a long, long time to come.
Trail Mix
60g walnuts
65g almonds
70g pumpkin seeds
40g sunflower seeds
40g dried cranberries
40g dried papaya
Back soon!
